If a Doula were a Drug, it would be unethical not to use it.
— Dr. John Kennell

Society needs to trust again. As a professional birth worker, my goal is to assist women and their partners to recognize and own the innate abilities within the woman pertaining to pregnancy, labor, birth, and breastfeeding.

What is the purpose of a Doula?

As I once explained it to a new mama, Doulas are the modern version of the tribes of women we use to have way, way back when. Doulas have always existed in history; a woman helping another woman during labor and birth and thereafter. Giving the emotional, physical, and knowledgeable support every mama needs.
