We believe a well supported family should be the standard care during pregnancy, birth and postnatally. For this reason our standard package automatically includes 12 hours of postpartum support.
As a birth doula, Aida provides pregnant people and their families with tailored support to fit their birth preferences. Prior to birth, she meets with the expectant person and their partner to explore their wishes, speak about and practice coping techniques, discuss what postpartum may look like and answer any other lingering questions they may have.
A complimentary meet and greet. In this meeting we get to see if we are a good fit for one another. We encourage you to meet other doulas and feel comfortable with the person you decide to be apart of your birth team.
Support varies from each pregnant person and family unit. It usually encompasses a combination of educational support, emotional support, and physical support.
Availability by phone, text and email from moment of hire throughout postpartum period.
As a postpartum doula, Danisha provides families with the support they need for optimal healing in the postpartum phase. We provide non-judgemental emotional and physical support for the family unit to help ease the transition of welcoming a new member to the family. The postpartum doula provides a lending ear to help the parents process their birth experience and ask questions while paying special attention to the birthing parent’s emotional well being.

Support can look like: Lactation counseling, bottle feed support; watch newborn while parents rest, shower, spend time with other children; preparation of light nutritious meals; run quick errands, food shopping, load laundry; light cleaning/ picking up.

We realize this is an investment that is not typically covered by insurance. Most FSA accounts will reimburse for doula services. We are happy to provide documents to support this!
